It's kind of making an outfit up, but there was so many things I liked, I decided it was nice to have a choice and stuck them all on here, kind of like a Mix N Match!

I would wear the Rose top/tunic dress with either the leggings or jeggings. ( I find jeggings slightly warmer.) I would put the purple belt with it to give it a bit of a colour pop, plus I love purple!

I would team it with either the black biker jacket or the denim biker jacket, probably the denim for a more relaxed day time look.

I would rock it up with the studded boots, ideal for daytime walking round the shops all day or to work!

I would accessorize it with the cute bangles and/or the wide silver bracelet.

I really love this look, kind of daytime rock chick look. For make up, I would probably go for a smokey eye and nude lip, or if I was feeling in the mood, a bright red lipstick. Red or black nail varnish would finish this look perfectly :-)

Random book recommendation

This is just a total random post, about a book I would like to recommend to EVERYONE!!


It's called Beauty Bible Beauty Steals, written by Sarah Stacey, who is a Journalist and TV producer, who is currently the Health Editor of The Mail on Sunday YOU magazine (A newspaper I never personally would buy, but hey) and Josephine Fairley, a contributing editor to the Mail on Sunday magazine (YOU), where she writes on beauty and organic living, and she also writes in Tatler, Here's Health and Elle Magazines about beauty.





I received this book for Christmas, and haven't been able to put it down! It is a total encyclopedia of beauty "steals" (all costing under £10!!), tested by real, everyday women, so you know you aren't getting a biased point of view. It covers everything from Body lotions to hair products to MAKE UP!! It gives everything a mark out of ten, and marks it with a purse symbol if it is a super steal (IE under £5). It is also full of tips and tricks to make products go that bit further and general application tips for make up as well.



I like the way it is so clear and concise, and also the fact is small enough to slip into your handbag to take shopping with you. Also the fact it has brought my attention to products I might not have heard of or ever used. There is also quite a few organic/green products in their too,(which are marked with a small daisy, depending on how organic the ingredients are) which I like, as it's always interesting to see how well organic products do compared to non organic products.



The only problem I have with this is that new products are being released ALL the time, so this could go out of date quickly. However, I think any Friend, Sister, Mum, Grandma or Auntie would love this book as it saves a lot of sometimes costly mistakes when buying products.

10 things that make me HAPPY!!

I was tagged by the lovely Bicky to list 10 things that make me HAPPY!

These are in no particular order!

1. My family. I am really lucky to have a close family, I hang out with my sister quite a bit. i also live at home, which a lot of people might consider a bit wrong at 27, but it's really fun. We laugh a lot, are always taking the mick out of each other and my Dad cooks my breakfast for me some mornings! I always know my family are there for me, and I am really very lucky to have them. This is my sister:

2.My Girlfriend. We have been together almost 2 and a half years, and she puts up with my mood swings and my princess demands, she is just great :-)


3. My Puppy! I got a puppy last week, we named her Tilly. She is just beautiful. A proper little rascal, forever trying to get in the dishwasher and chewing up shoes! Love her to bits.


4. My friends - i am lucky to have so many lovely friends! I am friends with so many people, I haven't got a picture of all of us together unfortunately :-(

5. MY CAR!! It took my about 6 (or was it 7?!) attempts to pass my driving test, and I after years of trying and failing, I finally past in May 2007. I have always wanted a convertible, i am a total poser, and i decided to get this little Ford StreetKA. Excellent fun in the summer!

6. My job - This may sound really sad to some people! But I do love my work. It is very relaxed, I work with great people and it's 2 minute drive away from my house. Before I worked here, I worked on Make up counters, and although the perks were good, (Free products!!) the days were long, and I had to travel to reading and back every day, which i really hated doing in the winter months. I have also worked as a holiday rep, which was the best summer of my life! Very good fun... 24 hour booze ups, pool party's and hot weather!

7. Money - Materialistic, but money buys me things I want, and pays for me to be able to do things. Pay day is the best day of the month!

8. Holidays - I love going on holiday. I am very lucky to have been round the world when I was 19, travelling to Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and America. I have always loved travelling, when I was younger I was always lucky to go to new places in the sunshine :-) Last year I went to Poland, odd place to go to, but Krakow was a brilliant place! I would tell anyone to go there if they wanted to experience something a bit different. (plus it's cheap!) This year I am going to LAS VEGAS!! I really can't wait to go. I love all things sparkly and tacky, so Vegas seemed the best choice!

9. Make up!! I love the way make up can totally transform someone. I always think wearing make up makes me feel so much better about myself, so much more confident. I also love doing make up and making people look pretty and feel better. I like how when you feel down, you can just put on some lippy and instantly feel a little bit better. I have always loved make up, I couldn't imagine my life without it!

10. Shopping - As a plus size, I do find it more challenging to buy nice, well fitting, fashionable clothes. It makes me feel happy when I find something that doesn't scream "fat girl", and when something is in the sale... That's always good too ;-)

What products am I using this month?


Shampoo: Aussie Miracle Moist. I love Aussie products!

Shower gel: Johnson and Johnson Baby Softwash. Makes my skin so soft AND smells like babies!

Styling products: VO5 Extreme Style Matt clay/L'Oreal Studio Line Mineral Control Mess It Up Putty and VO5 hairspray.

Body moisturiser: Is it bad that I don't really use one?!

Deodorant: Sure Natural Minerals, (both fragrances) Dove Invisible Dry or Mitchum Powderfresh.

Face primer: L'Oreal Studio Secrets Anti-shine Primer or using up Boots No.7 Shine Free Make-up Base. (It's not very good, I wouldn't recommend it!)

Foundation: Depends on the day, but Revlon Colorstay in Buff today. Am also loving the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Foundation in Ivory. If you haven't tried this yet, you must. It's on a par, if not better, than a lot of more expensive brand foundations I have tried.

Concealer: Don't really use one!

Blush: I have mostly been using my new Nars Orgasm blush, but today I have on ELF blush. (From the Studio Blush and Bronzer Compact.)

Eye Base: Urban Decay Primer Potion. (I haven't really used one until I got this for Christmas, so I sometimes forget to put it on!)

Eyeshadows: I recently bought the Sleek Palette in Storm, so have been using that the last few days. I wear a different eyeshadow almost every day. Really loving Mac eyeshadow in Goldmine with Sketch blended into the outer edge/crease. Totally depends on how I feel when I do my make up!

Eyeliner: Mac Powerpoint Eye pencil in Engraved or Barry M Super Soft Eye Crayon in Black or ELF Brightening Eyeliner in Black, depends which one I find first!

Mascara: Maybelline Define a Lash.

Lip Balm: Cherry Chapstick, or because I use a baby moisturiser, I normally slather this all over my lips too.

Lipstick: Sinead very kindly sent me a couple of NYX lipsticks in "Rea" and "Summer Love", so have been wearing "Summer Love" the last few days. Have also been using Gosh Lipstick in Darling, Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in shade In Vogue, L'Oréal Colour Riche Shine Gelee Lipstick in Sugar Rose (AMAZING lipstick. Almost like a gloss and lipstick in one, and is very moisturising and feels nice on the lips.)

Lipgloss: Don't really use one, but when i do I use Mac Lipglass in Electro-Lush, or Barry M Glossy tube in shade 4.

Nail colour: Don't really wear Nail Colour, unless my friend does it for me, because I am rubbish at applying it!

Perfume: I must have about 15-20 perfumes?! Just found a new love for Coco by Chanel though. I also like Coco Mademoiselle, L.A.M.B by Gwen Stefani and will always love Angel by Thierry Mugler, but haven't really worn this in the last month, I save that for very special occasions!

Review of Maybelline Dream Creamy Foundation

I love a new product! I saw this and couldn't resist. I am a big fan of Maybelline make up, i think the mascaras are just as good, if not better than a lot of premium brands. I also really like their lipsticks and a few of their foundations. I thought I would give this a go, as it was new and on offer!
Price: £5.99 on an introductory offer, will be £7.99 normally.

Shades: Light Porcelein, Nude, Sand, Fawn and Sun Beige.

What I like:
I like the texture of it. It's so much lighter than a lot of "solid" foundations I have tried before, and a lot lighter than the Dream Matte Mousse. It's also really soft and smooth, the texture AND the feel on your skin. It sounds really odd, but when you apply it, it feels really cool on the skin, it would be lovely to use in the summer. I also love the way it glides onto the skin really smoothly. It's also very easy to blend.

What I dislike:
I love a full coverage foundation. I normally use a number of different foundations (not all at the same time, though it has been known!) including L'oreal Infallible, Revlon Colorstay, Mac Studio Fix Fluid, Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect Make up, just to give you an idea! This one just wasn't enough coverage for me. It was a light to medium coverage I would say. It isn't as full coverage as the mousse. If I was to apply it to the coverage I wanted, it wouldn't be very economical.
I also found it quite hard to apply. At first I used a foundation brush, and found it quite difficult. I moved onto using the little sponge included, but it didn't seem big enough, it was just OK. I think I may need to get a bigger sponge and try it that way.
I also disliked the packaging, I found it really hard to open. It's a bit fiddly! You have to screw the top off, and the product is underneath, inside the top. (sounds complicated, but you will know what I mean if you buy one!) The sponge is in a different compartment.
It states it "stays looking fresh all day". I would disagree with that. I would say it only lasted on my skin a few hours.(I used a moisturiser and primer before applying as well, and my skin is dry/combination)

Would I buy again?
Probably not. It's ok for wearing to work, but that's about it for me.

Overall, I love the texture and would be perfect if you were looking for a lightweight, light to medium coverage foundation.

Spring Wishlist!

Hello There!!

I love shopping, I am totally addicted to shopping. Shopping for clothes and make up/beauty products!! This time of year is depressing; Christmas is over, it's FREEZING cold and it seems ages until the summer. However, to cheer us all up a *tiny* bit, the stores are now starting to get there Spring range in. Here are a few pieces I have my eye on:

I love the floral print of the scarf, making it a bit different from a usual colour block scarf and I always find scarfs really handy to jazz up a boring, plain vest/t shirt/jumper.
